For every brake service performed, our customers pay only for labor and any other necessary parts, while we donate 10% of the total to breast cancer research. Have you ever lost someone you love to breast cancer? It's heartbreaking, and it's an experience we hope to eradicate in the not-too-distant future. Fortunately, we can do this with YOUR help this Fall.
This October, The Auto Shop will, once again, be participating in Brakes For Breasts, which is a program dedicated to creating a breast cancer vaccine. From October 1 through October 31, The Auto Shop is GIVING AWAY FREE, premium-grade brake pads or shoes. All you pay for is the labor and any other necessary parts.
10% of the proceeds (excluding tax) will be donated towards research for the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund. Last year, we raised $1270.30, thanks to YOUR HELP!
And there's good news! Because of the monies that YOU helped us raise, The Cleveland Clinic will soon begin clinical trials of the vaccine!
But the fight isn't over. Imagine a vaccine that would create a world free of Breast Cancer.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we no longer had to mourn the loss of our beloved sisters, mothers, aunts, daughters, friends, neighbors, and co-workers because of this horrible disease? Let's come together as a community and do our part to make the world a better place.

Make a reservation for your free brake pad inspection with The Auto Shop in Jefferson City during October. 10% of the proceeds (excluding tax) will be donated towards research. As a result, you'll feel good knowing that 1) your car's brakes are in good hands and 2) you are helping a worthy cause.
The Auto Shop has been proudly serving Jefferson City and the Mid Missouri area since 2010. We are equally proud to be a strong force in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout October, we are eagerly participating in the Brakes for Breasts fundraising program.

This Brakes For Breasts fundraiser is different from any other breast cancer fundraising campaign:
- Dr. Tuohy at the Cleveland Clinic has created a vaccine that has proved effective in laboratory animals in actually preventing breast cancer. Think about Polio, eradicated because of a vaccine, a distant memory for most generations. This is the same principle!
- After 17 long years, Dr. Tuohy and his research team start clinical testing with their first bedside trial.
- 100% of the proceeds from the "Brakes for Breasts" fundraiser go directly to the Cleveland Clinic to research the Breast Cancer Vaccine.
- The Auto Shop is among several "Mom & Pop" auto repair shops and independent business owners across the country that have joined hands for this great cause.
The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2019 there will be over 271,000 people diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and over 42,000 will die. With those numbers, it’s hard to find anyone untouched by Breast Cancer. Although treatment is better than it’s ever been, why do we wait until it happens to treat it – Let’s stop it before it happens. Many of you have lost a loved one to this horrible disease – or maybe you are the one fighting or the one helping a loved one fight.
